5. Entry Fees (Per Participant)

Early Bird & Regular Entries

• 20th December 2025 – 10th January 2026: ₹1,500/-
• 11th January – 31st January 2026: ₹2,000/-
• 1st February – 20th February 2026: ₹2,500/-
• 21st February – 15th March 2026: ₹3,000/-

Entries close on 15th March 2026.

6. Mandatory Documents

All swimmers must submit the following:

• Government-issued ID proof (Age verification)
• Medical Fitness Certificate (Issued within last 6 months)
• ECG Report (Mandatory for swimmers aged 40 years and above)
• Signed Declaration & Consent Form
• Proof of prior open water experience (Mandatory for 5 KM & 10 KM participants)

Failure to submit documents will lead to disqualification without refund.

7. Race Rules & Regulations

• The event will be conducted as per Open Water Swimming competition guidelines recognized by OWAAF and applicable regulations of the Goa Swimming Association.
• Registration once completed is strictly non-transferable and non-refundable under any circumstances.
• Change of event, distance, or category after registration is not permitted.
• All swimmers must attend the mandatory race briefing. Absence may result in disqualification.
• The decision of the Referee, Race Director, and Organizing Committee shall be final and binding in all matters.
• Any swimmer showing signs of fatigue, distress, hypothermia, dehydration, or medical risk may be stopped or withdrawn by officials for safety reasons.
• Use of wetsuits, fins, paddles, snorkels, buoyancy aids, or any propulsion device is strictly prohibited unless specifically permitted for a category.
• Swimmers must strictly follow the marked buoy course. Missing a buoy or taking a shorter route will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Physical or verbal misconduct, unsportsmanlike behavior, or disrespect towards officials, volunteers, safety staff, or fellow swimmers will result in immediate disqualification.
• Protests, if any, must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes of result declaration along with a protest fee Rs 1000/-. Protests raised after this period will not be entertained.
• Decisions on protests will be taken by the Referee and Race Jury, and their decision will be final.
• Swimmers failing to start within their assigned wave or start time may be disqualified.
• Swimmers must wear the officially provided swim cap during the race at all times.
• Assistance from boats, kayaks, or any external support during the race is not allowed except for safety intervention.
• The Organizers reserve the right to alter start times, race format, course layout, or cancel any event due to weather conditions, sea state, tide variations, safety concerns, or instructions from authorities.
• Once registration has been completed, it cannot be cancelled. Transfers are permitted until 28 February 2026, and the swimmer will be required to pay any difference in entry fees based on the chosen slot.
• In case of event cancellation, postponement, or modification due to force majeure (weather, sea conditions, natural calamities, government orders, or unforeseen circumstances), no refund shall be applicable.
• Any swimmer providing false information, incorrect age proof, or forged medical documents will be disqualified and banned from future OWAAF events.
• If any age group receives fewer than six (6) confirmed participants, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to merge that age group with the immediately above or below age group, as deemed appropriate. The decision of the Organizing Committee in this regard shall be final and binding.

8. Awards & Recognition

• Medals for top finishers in each age category (Men & Women)
• Finisher medals for all swimmers completing the race within cutoff time
• Certificates for all participants

9. Liability & Disclaimer

• Participation is entirely at the swimmer’s own risk.
• The organizers, federation, association, sponsors, and venue partners shall not be held liable for injury, illness, loss, or death.
• By registering, swimmers agree to all terms, conditions, and safety decisions of the organizing committee.
